School Bus Safety

It's always a good time to remind young students of school bus safety rules:

  • Always stay out of the road when at your bus stop

  • Wait for the driver to signal you that it ok to cross the road

  • Only cross in front of the bus

  • If you drop something or see something under the bus - do NOT reach for it-wait until the bus leaves and ask an adult for help getting the item from the road

  • When you get onto the bus take a seat as soon as you can

  • Stay seated with your legs in the seat and not in the aisle

  • Do not put your arms or head outside the bus window

  • Talk quietly so you do not distract the bus driver

  • If students follow these simple rules they will have a safe year when riding to and from school.
