On May 19, Mohonasen voters approved a $77.27 million proposed budget for the 2026-27 school year by a vote of 437 (yes) to 212 (no), a 67.3% approval. The budget carries a 7.77% increase in spending over the current year’s budget and will result in a 3.20% tax levy increase, which is within the district’s tax levy limit.    Voters also approved a proposition to purchase four buses: two 46-passenger wheelchair-accessible Type C buses, and two 70-passenger buses, by a vote of 437 (yes) to 211 (no).  No staffing positions would be eliminated under the proposed budget.
