2025 Draper Spelling Bee

On Thursday, January 9, Draper Middle School held its annual school-wide spelling bee. In the week leading up to the event, classrooms hosted competitions to identify 32 classroom champions. These champions then went head-to-head to become the Draper Middle School Spelling Bee Champion.

Congratulations to eighth grader Holden Wilson, who claimed the top spot by correctly spelling the word “linoleum.” Holden will now advance to the regional competition, where he’ll complete an online spelling and vocabulary assessment to qualify for the Scripps National Spelling Bee, on May 27-29.

Aiva Adams took second place, while Delaney Wilson — Holden’s sister — earned third.

We are proud of all participants for their hard work, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm in making this event a success! #MohonProud
