December 13; College panel for juniors & families


College admissions professionals will be at the high school’s large instructional room (LGI) on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 6 p.m. to share information about the college application process with students and their parents/guardians.

  • Why you should visit and interview
  • How to determine which colleges would be a good match for you – academically and financially
  • The impact of grades and extracurricular activities with and without SAT/ ACT scores
  • How public and private colleges are similar and different
  • Realistic college choices: (Academic & Financial) What are “safe”, “target”, “challenge” and “reach” school choices?
  • Things to be aware of if you will transfer from a 2-year college to a 4-year college
  • The importance of deadlines
  • How to find out about scholarships
