Students in Draper’s tech club took on a creative project to craft wooden Christmas trees. This hands-on activity combined woodworking skills and teamwork to create festive decorations.
The process began with a tree template. Students carefully planned and laid out their cuts before using a chop saw under close supervision to shape the pieces. Once the parts were ready, they assembled the trees by screwing them together, ensuring stability.
Next came the painting stage, where the trees were coated and given a light dusting of white paint for a snowy effect. The final touch involved installing decorative lights, bringing the trees to life with a festive glow.
This project showcased students’ craftsmanship and also provided valuable experience in using tools and working through a multi-step process. The finished trees are a bright and cheerful addition to the holiday season!
