Mohonasen K-12 School Counseling Mission Statement

The mission of the K-12 Mohonasen School Counseling department is to support and empower all students in reaching their fullest potential in a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive environment through a data-driven comprehensive school counseling program. Students are encouraged to grow academically, emotionally, and socially while learning to set personal and career goals, advocate for themselves, and overcome challenges. Every student has access to trusted adults, meaningful opportunities, and the guidance needed to develop their strengths, experience self-directed growth, and pursue their future with confidence.

Vision Statement

Mohonasen students will graduate as GIFTED individuals — growth-minded, intellectually curious, financially responsible, collaborative team players, effective communicators, and dynamic problem solvers — prepared to lead with integrity and contribute meaningfully to their communities and society.  They will possess the essential skills to successfully pursue college, military service, technical training, and the workforce.  Confident in their character and resilient in the face of challenges, Mohonasen graduates will advocate for themselves and others, care for their own well-being, and recognize and respect diverse perspectives as they use their strengths to serve and uplift the greater community.

The Mohonasen Counseling Department consists of guidance counselors and social workers that serve throughout the entire school district. These individuals work toward the common goal of helping students to be the best they can be.
