Qualifications: The Successful candidate shall provide educational leadership and supervision to Special Education personnel and programs. Will ensure that the programs are in compliance with all state and federal regulations consistent with Federal Law and the Part 200 Regulations of the Commissioner governing the education of children with handicapping conditions.
Will develop a close working relationship with building and district level administrators. Will be responsible for planning, managing and evaluating programs of Special Education and related services, homebound instruction, out of district placements and coordinate STAC and Medicaid submissions. Will oversee the timely submission of State Education reports and author and manage multiple grants including but not limited to 611 and 619.
Coordinate the activities of the District Committees on Special Education (CSE/CPSE) and assess the development of department policies and practices. Will facilitate professional learning, including training in laws and regulations related to the CSE/CPSE and specific disabilities for special education and general education.

Need for School Bus Drivers & Substitute Bus Drivers
Looking for a part-time job with flexible hours? Like many schools around the region, Mohonasen is facing a serious shortage of bus drivers. If you or someone you know might be interested in a part-time job, please contact our Transportation Department at 356-8260. Mohonasen provides free training for the required CDL Class B license.
Our bus drivers typically work two shifts each day, from 6:45-8:45 a.m. and 2-4 p.m. There is also need for a driver interested in working a 2:30-4:30 p.m. shift only. Salary is per contract (plus health benefits for those working 20 hours/week). This is a great job for reliable drivers who like working with kids in our community and could use a part-time income. Recently retired? Many of our current bus drivers say the job keeps them busy.
