The 36th Annual Graduation Speaker Contest for the Class of 2024 was held on Thursday, April 18. Speaking candidates in the contest included Timothy Abbott and Riley Schoonmaker.
Riley Schoonmaker was the competition’s winner. He is set to deliver the keynote address at this year’s commencement ceremony, with Abbott also presenting his speech during the event.
Thank you to our guest judges of the competition. Judges included Erin Breslin of the City Mission, CBS 6’s Steve LaPointe, Spectrum News’ Jackson Wang and former miSci Vice President of Communications & Marketing, Susan Whitaker.
This was a distinguished group of speakers this year who made the judges’ decisions very difficult. Congrats to Riley and Tim!
