Pinewood students, families and staff came together in a generous effort, raising $2,980 for the Ronald McDonald House. As part of the fundraiser, Principal Thompson issued a “principal’s challenge,” and Mrs. MacMaster’s class rose to the occasion, raising the most money.
To celebrate their achievement, he became a “student for a day” in her classroom. He experienced the day in their shoes and participated in lessons.
The Ronald McDonald House provides a “home away from home” for families with seriously ill or injured children receiving medical care. Their services offer comfort and support to families during challenging times, ensuring they can stay close to their loved ones without the added stress of finding accommodations.
