STS Steel, located in Schenectady, hosted a Manufacturing Day event. Mohonasen High School technology students had a chance to tour the one-of-a-kind, 62,000-square-foot facility.
The event provided an opportunity for students to see the potential of modern manufacturing and foster their interests in manufacturing careers. STS Steel’s staff demonstrated fundamentals of the steel manufacturing industry such as 3D solid modeling, computer-aided design, bolting, welding, torch cutting, blasting and painting.
